Unsere wertvollen Reserven sind unsere privaten und öffentlichen Kunstsammlungen: Moonblinx Gallery zeigt ab dem 16. Oktober in der deutschen Finanzmetropole Frankfurt Werke von Mario Schmolka, Alexander Babic, Sung-Hee Seewald, Charlen Christoph, Diana Djeddi, Edward Hartwig (1909-2003) und Karsten Thormaehlen. Die Arbeiten erzählen von menschlichen Eigenschaften und Fähigkeiten, die wir jetzt erst recht brauchen: Experimentierfreudigkeit, Schönheit, Robustheit, Großzügigkeit und Weitsicht. In diesen Zeiten sichert Kreativität und ästhetische Wertschöpfung Zukunft.

Moonblinx Gallery has carefully selected upcoming positions in the art photography world which will need to sustain any financial turmoil and crisis. Planning for this unusual exhibtion with the impressive title “Facing Future” started the day the financial crisis got transparent. The composition of works include works by Mario Schmolka on portraits with a protective charme , Alexander Babic with robust Fight Club Scenes, Sung-Hee Seewald longing for absolute beauty that is beyond today’s pain, Charlen Christoph representing bold self-infliction, Diana Djeddi taking an incidental path in the wild political landscape, Edward Hartwig with timeless experimental openess of human kind and Karsten Thormaehlen reflecting the generous richness of cities. This show reveals that even in the light of uncertainty one option sustains: You can be everything you want to be. The curators of Moonblinx Gallery have previously organized the Frankfurt Photography Highlight Prepositions I in 2007, currently their exhibition Jahrhundertmensch by Karsten Thormaehlen has received international resonance and will be shown at the World Economic Forum in Davos next year. The team is preparing with the support of art photographer Sandra Mann, curator Jean-Christoph Ammann and City Developer Ardi Goldmann an international photography festival for 2010. The gallery’s name stems from Moonblinks which stands for sighting of strange und unexplainable lights on the surface of the moon.
