Moonblinx Gallery exclusively represents the Estate of the leading polish art photographer Edward Hartwig (1909-2003). The Gallery is currently preparing Hartwig’s 100th Birthday in 2009. Moonblinx works closely with the Victoria & Albert Museum in London which plans to show works of Hartwig in its Photography Rehanging 2009.

Edward Hartwig 1909 in Moskau geboren, wuchs in Lublin auf, studierte in Wien Fotografie, wirkte in Warschau. Enge Kontakte zu Künstlern wie
Tadeusz Kantor und Henryk Berlewi. Das Album „Fotografika”, verlegt in verschiedenen Sprachen, bringt ihm internationale Anerkennung. Es folgen
eine Vielzahl von Ausstellungen in Europa und Übersee von Paris, Athen, Amsterdam, Turin, Mailand, London, Dresden, Linz, Hamburg, bis Chicago,

Hartwig ist Gründungsmitglied des Polnischen Kunstfotografenverbandes (ZPAF).

English – Biography
Edward Hartwig Born in Moscow in 1909, Edward Hartwig grew up in Lublin, studied photography in Vienna and was active in Warsaw. Close ties to
artists such as Tadeusz Kantor and Henryk Berlewi. The album Fotographika, published in numerous languages, brings him international acclaim.
A large number of exhibitions in Europe and abroad follow in cities ranging from Paris to Athens, Amsterdam, Turin, Milan, London, Dresden, Linz,
Hamburg, Chicago, New York, Bogota and San Francisco. Participation in the International Photography Exhibition at the Richmond Art Gallery
(Canada, 1955), Photokina (Cologne, 1969), 10 Photographers of the World, Neustadt Galerie (Vienna, 1971), 10 Great Art Photographers of FIAP
(Padua, 1979) and Fotofest Houston (1988). Hartwig is a founding member of the Polish Association of Art Photographers (ZPAF).
